Well. A buzzer beating heartbreaker and 2 beatdowns back to back have placed the Nittany Lions on a 3 game skid as they head into a match up against the Fighting Illini. I truly believe Penn State outmatches Illinois in most aspects heading into this. Illinois bigman Maverick Morgan averages just 4 rebounds a game(that’s bad). Win the paint, win the game and I believe Watkins and Moore can do that, even with almost certain foul trouble. Chambers and co. will break the skid.

Greg always yells at me for my short predictions so I’m doing this to make him mad. We win.

It’s here! Gameday is back in Happy Valley, and it’s looking to be a good one. Although PSU has been pretty much dead, I think the guys are going to come into the game ready to kick butt and take names. With the crowd behind them, PSU is going to cruise to victory, and bring a ton of momentum with them into next week.

Finally, after a trip only comparable to hell, the Nittany Lions return home to face Illinois. They have Malcolm Hill, who is a sensational player and will get his points. He scored over 30 last year but the Lions came away victorious. I see another competitive game where PSU pulls away at the end.

Time after time this season, when Penn State is faced with adversity, they fight back. Although the last couple games have been rough, these guys will pull out a victory.

The road that the Lions took was rough suffering big time to Purdue and then Wisconsin. However, they are headed home to take on Illinois. The Lions will need to use all their disappointment and anger towards Illinois. As long as they can keep their fouls down and make their shots in the paint, they will take the W. This should be an exciting game that will hopefully get more people to CLIMB WITH US!

The last two games were not fun to watch, but that was the hardest part of Penn State’s schedule, so I believe they will be ready to make a statement against Illinois at home at the Bryce Jordan Center. On the stat sheet, Illinois and Penn State are very similar, sothe winner will be whoever get ahead early and stay out of foul trouble. If we come to play with a fire lit under them, this Penn State team can show the potential that they will have in the very near future.
